Caretaker PM Prioritizes Resolution of Karachi Electric Issues

In a recent meeting chaired by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, emphasis was placed on resolving the remaining issues of Karachi Electric (KE) on an urgent basis. The meeting acknowledged the resolution of major challenges facing the company but underscored the importance of addressing any outstanding concerns.

During the session, suggestions for resolving KE’s problems were deliberated upon, with the caretaker premier directing the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) and Karachi Electric to collaborate closely in finding prompt solutions. He requested a swift report on the matter.

Expressing gratitude for the caretaker government’s efforts in addressing longstanding issues, the KE delegation affirmed their commitment to resolving any remaining challenges swiftly. The caretaker PM reiterated the government’s dedication to facilitating international investors and fostering economic stability, pledging continued efforts to address the nation’s economic concerns.

Furthermore, the caretaker premier welcomed the recent interconnection agreement between the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) and KE, emphasizing the government’s commitment to ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply to Karachi residents.

Attended by Federal Energy Minister Muhammad Ali, relevant officials, and KE’s CEO, the meeting exemplified the government’s proactive approach towards resolving critical energy sector issues.
